Fairview Homestead

Welcome to Fairview Homestead Association’s web site. We are a registered charity incorporated in the Australian state of New South Wales. We have been endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a deductible gift recipient meaning that all donations to us are tax deductible in Australia.

Our purpose is to save and restore Fairview Homestead which is located on Ten Mile Hollow Road, Mangrove Creek on the NSW Central Coast. This area of Australia was first settled within about 20 years of the arrival of the First Fleet and its early settlers, many having arrived on that first fleet, established farms in this well watered and fertile valley in order to supply much needed food to the new Sydney colony.   It is essential the that last remaining traces of that history are preserved for future generations.

The area also provided the first road access into the Central Coast, linking Great North road, through Simpson’s Track to Ten Mile Hollow, up Pemberton’s Hill and into Gosford and further north.

You will find more information about the history of the area and the homestead on our website, including a photo gallery with many old prints from the early days.  There is also a dedicated page on WikiTree for Fairview Homestead.  This focuses on the local history and the families associated with Fairview and Mangrove Creek more generally.

We hope you enjoy this site and will welcome comments on its design, enquiries about our association or expressions of interest in becoming a member or making a donation.
